Baseball Recap: Concord Takes a Loss

After flying high against Northwest Cabarrus on Tuesday, Concord came back down to earth. The Spiders fell 9-5 to the Central Cabarrus Vikings on Friday. The Spiders were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Vikings earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

Jerry 'Neil' Hammill made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with one home run. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season.

Concord's record now sits at 7-16. As for Central Cabarrus, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-14.

As of now, neither Concord nor the Vikings have any future games scheduled.
