Baseball Recap: Pac-Five Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Pac-Five barely beat St. Louis the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Wolfpack put the hurt on the Crusaders with a sharp 7-0 victory on Saturday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Wolfpack as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

The team relied heavily on Alika Ahu, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Ryden Toyama was another key player, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3.

Pac-Five's victory bumped their record up to 5-9. As for St. Louis, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Coming up, Pac-Five will challenge Damien at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The Monarchs' pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so the Wolfpack's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for St. Louis, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Kamehameha Kapalama at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Crusaders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season.
