Sahuaro hadn't done well against Flowing Wells recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Sahuaro walked away with a 2-0 victory over Flowing Wells. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Cougars as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Flowing Wells lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Marcus Urenda, who had 11 digs. Those 11 digs gave him a new career-high. Omar Zacarias also deserves some recognition as he had his first kill of the season.

Sahuaro's victory bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Flowing Wells, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-11.
