Manitowoc Lincoln extended their winning streak to three on Monday, bumping their season record up to 13-1 in the process. They walked away with an 8-5 victory over the Notre Dame Academy Tritons. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 27, 2023, but that streak is no more.

The team relied heavily on Vance Schroeder, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. What's more, he posted three hits, the most he's had since back in April. Another player making a difference was Zach Bradl, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.

Manitowoc Lincoln always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .513. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Notre Dame Academy only posted an OBP of .333.

As for Notre Dame Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-6 record this season. Tritons fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against Manitowoc Lincoln since on Monday.

On Notre Dame Academy's side, Miles Hunter made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Jacob Reineking was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
