Volleyball Recap: Shaye Maya's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Erie First Christian Academy over Eisenhower

Erie First Christian Academy was the 3-0 winner over Eisenhower when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Erie First Christian Academy fell just short of Eisenhower by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The loss was Erie First Christian Academy's first of the season.

Erie First Christian Academy took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 17-25, 25-17, 23-25, 25-17, 15-11.

Several Erie First Christian Academy players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Shaye Maya, who had ten digs.

Having lost for the first time this season, Erie First Christian Academy fell to 7-1. As for Eisenhower, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Erie First Christian Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Slippery Rock on the 20th. As for Eisenhower, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Cambridge Springs on the 23rd.
