Volleyball Game Preview: Westview Knights vs. Estrella Foothills Wolves + Official Tickets

Westview is 0-4 against Estrella Foothills since September of 2022 but things could change on Wednesday. The Knights will challenge the Wolves at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Westview took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. Everything went their way against Copper Canyon as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Aztecs: they've now won four in a row.

Westview's got stronger as the match went on, holding Copper Canyon to fewer and fewer points set over set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-14, 25-13.

If Deer Valley wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Estrella Foothills, they should've done a better job of containing Gabby Coronado. The Wolves walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Skyhawks on Monday with plenty of help from Coronado, who had 14 assists and seven digs. She has been hot, having posted 14 or more assists the last five times she's played.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 16-25, 28-26, 25-12.

Westview's record now sits at 11-9. As for Estrella Foothills, their record is now 18-5-5.

Westview might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Estrella Foothills in their previous matchup back in September. Can the Knights avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
