Expectations are high for No. 2 overall draft pick Brandon Ingram heading into his rookie season with the Los Angeles Lakers.

He brings a long list of strengths and attributes to the NBA, including size, length, versatility, fluidity and a sweet stroke.

But short-term memory may not be at the top of the list for the 6-foot-9 forward, who played last season at Duke.

According to a Thursday story by Chris Mannix of The Vertical, Ingram claims to have connected on every free throw he attempted during his storied career at Kinston (N.C.).

Every. Single. One.

"Most definitely, that's true," Ingram told Mannix.

The coaching staff at Kinston faithfully submitted stats to MaxPreps during Ingram's career and that's actually not true, Brandon.

Ingram was a solid free throw shooter but missed 105 free throw attempts in his final three years at Kinston alone.

While the Laker rookie clearly mis-remembers his exploits at the line and this could complicate his political ambitions, let's not forget that Ingram was incredibly special as a prep star in North Carolina.

He was a third team MaxPreps All-American in 2014-15, leading the Vikings to four state titles and a record of 107-14.
