Basketball Recap: Palmer Takes a Loss

Palmer was the 75-41 winner over Soldotna when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Palmer Moose fell to the Soldotna Stars 54-50. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Moose came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Alaska basketball rankings (they are ranked tenth, while the Stars are ranked 59th).

Palmer is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 15-8. As for Soldotna, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-15.

While Palmer had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
