Soccer Game Preview: Santaluces vs. FAU High

The Santaluces Chiefs will take on the FAU High Owls at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. FAU High took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Santaluces, who comes in off a win.

Santaluces will bounce into Friday's game after beating Royal Palm Beach, who they had gone 1-7-1 against in their nine prior meetings. Santaluces blew past Royal Palm Beach 6-1 on Thursday. That five goal margin sets a new team best for the Chiefs this season.

Meanwhile, FAU High's game on Thursday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of Sports Leadership & Management by a score of 3-2. The result was nothing new for the Owls as the team haven't won a game since December 17, 2024.

Santaluces has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 19 goals over those six matches. As for FAU High, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 0-1-2 and their overall record down to 5-6-4.

Santaluces beat FAU High by a goal in their previous matchup back in December of 2021, winning 4-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for Santaluces since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
