Baseball Recap: Five Straight Home Wins for Cardinal Mooney

Cardinal Mooney put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the Gateway Charter Griffins by a score of 5-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 12-0 on Saturday.

Colton Hyde looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and only a hit over four innings pitched.

On the hitting side, John Badala was excellent, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Wyatt Hossenlopp was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Cardinal Mooney hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most four strikeouts in five consecutive matchups dating back to last season.
