Basketball Recap: Guthrie Takes a Loss

Guthrie was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 42-30 to the Spur Bulldogs. The contest was a 13-13 toss-up at halftime, but the Jaguars couldn't quite close it out.

Guthrie's defeat dropped their record down to 8-17. As for Spur, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-17.

Coming up, Guthrie will face off against Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Jaguars will need to watch out since the Patriots have now posted at least 55 points in their last nine games. As for Spur, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Motley County at 6:15 p.m.
