Basketball Recap: Archbishop Hoban Starts Season with Victory on the Road

Archbishop Hoban had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top against the Twinsburg Tigers by a score of 52-40 on Sunday. For the Knights, this counts as revenge for the 48-39 win the Tigers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2015.

Taylor Dye and Jaci Hutton certainly did their best on Sunday to avoid the loss. Dye shot 83% from the field en route to 12 points, while Hutton posted 12 points and eight boards. Mackenzie Sweeney was another key player, putting up seven points.

Archbishop Hoban will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Big Walnut at 3:00 p.m. on the 7th. As for Twinsburg, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 52-40 win against Mentor on the 30th.
