Baseball Game Preview: Montville Wolves vs. Killingly Trailblazers

The Montville Wolves will venture away from home to square off against the Killingly Trailblazers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Montville has given up an average of 7.9 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Montville lost 12-5 to Stonington on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Wolves in their meetings with the Bears: they've now lost six in a row.

Meanwhile, Killingly entered their tilt with Bacon Academy on Monday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Bobcats a 9-0 shutout.

Montville's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9-1. As for Killingly, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.

Everything went Montville's way against Killingly when the teams last played back in April, as Montville made off with a 12-2 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolves since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
