Basketball Recap: Morgan Comes Up Short

Morgan lost against Wasatch back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Trojans wound up with the same score they had in their last game (70-52), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time.

When it comes to explaining why Morgan lost, don't look at Makayla Williams. Despite the final result, she shot 41% from the field en route to 22 points. Williams is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Zoe Rockenfield was another key player, dropping a double-double with 11 points and ten boards.

Morgan now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Wasatch, they pushed their record up to 2-0 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Morgan has already played their next matchup, a 47-39 defeat against Sky View on the 24th. As for Wasatch, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 58-30 win against Park City on the 24th.
