Baseball Game Preview: Valley View Cougars vs. West Scranton Invaders

The Valley View Cougars will head out to face off against the West Scranton Invaders at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. West Scranton took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Valley View, who comes in off a win.

Valley View is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Tunkhannock with a sharp 10-0 victory on Saturday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Cougars considering their one-run performance the game before.

Meanwhile, West Scranton fell victim to Dunmore and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They lost 11-0 to the Bucks. The Invaders haven't had much luck with the Bucks recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

West Scranton's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Valley View, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-7.

Valley View beat West Scranton 5-2 in their previous meeting back in May of 2025. Do the Cougars have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Invaders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
