Basketball Recap: Sammamish RedHawks vs. North Creek Jaguars
Sammamish came into Tuesday's game having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. In a tight match that could have gone either way, they made off with a 64-63 win over the North Creek Jaguars.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sammamish to victory, but perhaps none more so than Rakin Showki, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 assists. Those 11 assists gave Showki a new career-high. Barry Morrissette was another key player, going 9 for 13 on his way to 20 points and five rebounds.
Despite the loss, North Creek had strong showings from Cris Bonicillo, who went 12 of 21 on his way to 30 points and three steals, and Carter Cohen, who shot 5-for-7 from downtown and dropped a double-double on 24 points and 12 boards. The contest was Cohen's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jason Dragan, who posted four points in addition to eight boards and four steals.
The victory got Sammamish back to even at 4-4. As for North Creek, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-3.
Sammamish and Interlake will compete for holiday cheer at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. North Creek and Archbishop Rummel will round out the year against one another at at 10:30 a.m. on December 27th.
