Baseball Recap: Westlake Comes Up Short

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Westlake's offense. They came up short against the Walter Panas Panthers on Wednesday, falling 11-0. Having soared to a lofty 18 runs in the game before, the Wildcats' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Westlake saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Matthew Pippo, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base.

Westlake now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Walter Panas, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-3.

Coming up, Westlake will square off against Lakeland at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Walter Panas, they will challenge Arlington at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
