After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Eagle Valley, Summit was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Delta Panthers. The victory was some much needed relief for the Tigers as it spelled an end to their four-match losing streak.

Summit was actually outscored in aggregate across those four sets (97-94), but they still managed to win. The final score came out to 25-23, 16-25, 26-24, 27-25.

Saige Heflin paced Summit's offense, picking up 11 kills. Heflin got some help from Reese Melby and her 20 assists. Melby was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Summit's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 4-7. As for Delta, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

Summit didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Golden on the 27th. As for Delta, they are taking a road trip to challenge Rifle at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
