Volleyball Recap: Bayside Academy Wins High-Profile Match Against Houston

Bayside Academy is ranked highly in their home state and on Saturday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Houston. The Admirals narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Mustangs 2-1. For the Admirals, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 victory the Mustangs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Haley Robinson paced Bayside Academy's offense, picking up 13 kills. Robinson got some help from Sophie Hester and her 28 assists.

The win was the fourth in a row for Bayside Academy, bringing their record up to 19-10. As for Houston, they moved to 19-12 with that defeat, which also ended their four-match winning streak.

Coincidentally, Bayside Academy and Houston will both be playing Pike Road the next time they take the court. The Admirals will head out to face the Patriots at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Mustangs will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
