Volleyball Recap: Grace Carrier and Audrey Besperat Secure Win for Carl Junction

Carl Junction won the last time they faced Bolivar and things went their way on Thursday too. The Bulldogs were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Liberators. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

While Carl Junction won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-23, 25-19.

Leading Carl Junction to victory were Audrey Besperat and Grace Carrier. Besperat had 14 assists and ten digs, while Carrier had 16 digs. That's the most assists Besperat has posted over her last six matches. Kiley Smith also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Carl Junction's victory bumped their record up to 12-10. As for Bolivar, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-12-3 record this season.

Carl Junction didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against St. Mary's-Colgan on the 4th. As for Bolivar, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Branson on the 7th.
