Nixon won the last time they faced Mission Veterans Memorial and things went their way on Friday too. The Nixon Mustangs were the clear victor by a 4-1 margin over the Mission Veterans Memorial Patriots. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won six contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Nixon has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 20 goals over those five games. Mission Veterans Memorial's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Nixon will head out to square off against Martin at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mission Veterans Memorial, they will challenge Palmview at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Palmview will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something Mission Veterans Memorial surely won't give up without a fight.
