Baseball Recap: Crestwood Comets vs. Berwick Bulldogs
Crestwood was the 5-3 winner over Berwick when they last played one another back in April of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Crestwood Comets fell just short of the Berwick Bulldogs by a score of 7-6 on Friday.
Trevor Miller and Chaz Wright stepped up to the plate in a big way. Miller went 1-for-3 with a home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Wright scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb McManus, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Crestwood now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Berwick, their victory ended a ten-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-5.
Crestwood will take on Tunkhannock at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Berwick, they will head out on the road to challenge Wilkes-Barre at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
