Soccer Game Preview: Laguna Beach vs. University

The Laguna Beach Breakers will venture away from home to challenge the University Trojans at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Laguna Beach will be strutting in after a victory while University will be coming in after a defeat.

Laguna Beach's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They put the hurt on St. Margaret's with a sharp 3-0 win.

David Garcia and Landon Hutcheon scored all three of Laguna Beach's goals, bringing their combined season tally to eight goals.

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for University's offense. They fell just short of Woodbridge by a score of 1-0 on Wednesday.

University's loss dropped their record down to 8-5-1. As for Laguna Beach, their victory bumped their record up to 7-9-1.

Laguna Beach was able to grind out a solid win over University in their previous meeting on January 9th, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Breakers since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
