Basketball Recap: Jaeda Davis Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Waccamaw

Marion lost to Waccamaw back in December of 2022, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Wednesday. The Marion Swamp Foxes skirted past the Waccamaw Warriors 39-37.

Marion's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jaeda Davis led the charge by putting up 16 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which Davis has scored at least a third of Marion's points. Kristin Shaw was another key player, posting ten points.

Marion's record is now 8-6. As for Waccamaw, their loss dropped their record down to 6-10.

Marion will be playing in front of their home fans against Manning at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Waccamaw, they will venture away from home to square off against Georgetown at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Waccamaw is facing Georgetown at the right time seeing as Georgetown is stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
