Basketball Recap: Tahoma Takes a Loss

Tahoma lost against Kennedy Catholic back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bears fell just short of the Lancers by a score of 72-69.

Zion Stone was his usual excellent self, going 11-for-18 on his way to 32 points and seven rebounds for Kennedy Catholic. Stone's evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of CJ Lambert, who posted ten points and five boards.

Tahoma dropped their record down to 3-2 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 61.2 points this season. As for Kennedy Catholic, they now also have a winning record of 3-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Tahoma is set to take on their familiar foe Kentridge at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Kennedy Catholic will face off against rival Auburn Riverside at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
