Volleyball Recap: Mt. Edgecumbe Comes Up Short

After flying high against Bethel on Wednesday, Mt. Edgecumbe came back down to earth. The Braves fell 2-0 to the Kenai Central Kardinals on Thursday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Braves of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2023.

Mt. Edgecumbe has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. As for Kenai Central, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-2-1.

Coincidentally, Mt. Edgecumbe and Kenai Central will both be playing Kotzebue the next time they take the court. The Kardinals will head out to face the Huskies at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Braves will host them at 10:00 a.m. on Friday.
