Soccer Game Preview: Robinson vs. Alexandria City

For the first time this season, Robinson will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will challenge the Alexandria City Titans at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams beat their previous opponents by a single goal, so this matchup might be just as contested.

Robinson proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by eight) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They never let Oakton get on the board and left with a 1-0 win.

Meanwhile, Alexandria City put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against Lewis. The game was the first time Alexandria City have beaten Lewis on their pitch since April 6, 2016.

Alexandria City's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Robinson, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Robinson skirted past Alexandria City 1-0 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Robinson since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
