Baseball Recap: Rudder Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Rudder's offense. They fell 5-0 to the Montgomery Bears on Tuesday. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Rangers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Rudder saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Juan Marquez, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Rudder dropped their record down to 11-7-2 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Montgomery, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-8-2 record this season.

While Rudder had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
