Basketball Recap: Batavia's Win Ends Three-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Batavia won the last time they faced Geneva and things went their way on Friday too. The Batavia Bulldogs secured a 43-39 W over the Geneva Vikings. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 41st, while the Vikings are ranked 237th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Kaidyn King had an outrageously good game as she went 6 of 13 en route to 15 points in addition to five assists and five steals. Another player making a difference was Hallie Crane, who posted nine points and five rebounds.

Batavia's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 18-8. As for Geneva, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-17 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Batavia will challenge St. Charles North at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Geneva, they will take on Wheaton North at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
