Lackawanna 2 recap Sept. 26, 2012
Riverside was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from third to first in Lackawanna 2. The Vikings beat Susquehanna 42-21 earlier in the week.
Mid Valley took down Holy Cross 54-8 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Gavin O'Donnell was the best wideout in the league this week as Lakeland lost to Carbondale. O'Donnell racked up six receptions for 72 yards. Chris Roche helped Lakeland's passing attack out by catching one ball for 13 yards.
Robbie Siclari was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 14 carries, he ran for 182 yards as Western Wayne lost to the Chargers. Teammate Cameron Chism added to the ground attack by rushing for 62 yards.
Kevin Miller put up the best numbers through the air as Honesdale beat Montrose. He finished with a total of eight completions for 102 yards and three touchdowns. Miller's favorite target this week was Jon Gillow, who caught three passes for 45 yards.
6-foot-1 quarterback Kyle Kiehart of Lakeland is the league leader in passing yards this season with 474. He has also thrown five touchdowns. On the ground, the Hornets' Kyle Carney has rushed for 410 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Ron Tomasetti. The Mid Valley star has 12 catches for 190 yards.
The Spartans led the league in scoring this week after putting up 54 points on the Crusaders.
