Basketball Recap: Sheridan Beats Laramie for Their Fifth Straight Victory

Sheridan had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past the Laramie Plainsmen 44-22 on Thursday. The Broncs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 20 points or more this season.

Despite the loss, Laramie still got an impressive performance from Riley Lake, who posted eight points. Thanks to that strong game, Lake now owns an excellent 46.4% field goal percentage.

The win (which was Sheridan's fifth in a row) raised their record to 16-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.2 points on average over those games. As for Laramie, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-13 record this season.

Sheridan has already played their next match, a 50-42 loss against East on the 6th. Laramie does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
