Soccer Recap: Dunbar Takes a Loss

Dunbar lost against Lely back in November of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Dunbar Tigers lost 8-0 to the Lely Trojans. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 509th, while the Trojans are ranked 161st).

Dunbar has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Lely, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4-2 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Dunbar challenge the East Lee County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lely, they will square off against Oasis at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
