League recap: Camden moves into state Top 25

Camden was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after besting Kingsway. The Panthers came in at 22 in the state poll after placing at number 36 last week.

Bishop Eustace Prep scaled the state rankings by moving to 173 from 211 this week, the biggest jump in West Jersey - Royal. The Crusaders climbed the ranks as a result of defeating Cherry Hill West 24-18.

Camden's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Khalil Williams threw for 137 and 2 touchdowns and Brad Hawkins had 50 yards receiving. On the ground Khalif Williams chipped in 90 yards. JeMir Washington helped Camden's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 50 yards.

Hawkins was the best receiver in the league this week as Dwayne Savage's team topped the Dragons. Hawkins racked up 4 receptions for 50 yards. Washington helped Camden's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 50 yards.

5-foot-9 quarterback Williams of the Panthers is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1,316. He has also thrown 21 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Daeshon Davis. The Woodrow Wilson star has 27 catches for 742 yards.

An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Bishop Eustace Prep takes on Camden. As it stands, Robert Cormier's team is in third, while the Panthers are in first.

Camden extended the longest winning streak in West Jersey - Royal this week by beating Kingsway, 28-7. This was the team's seventh consecutive win.
