Quantico faced Fuqua in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The  game between the Warriors and the Falcons didn't end well, with the Warriors falling  52-38. Despite 199 more yards than the Falcons, the Warriors couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.

 When it comes to explaining why Quantico lost, don't look at  Jackson Heater. Despite the final result, he rushed for 163 yards and a pair of  TDs while picking up 9.1 yards per carry, and also picked up 45 receiving yards and one  touchdown.  Ukiah Blair also helped with two scores in total.
 Fuqua's win  was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from   Jonmichael Graham, who rushed for 112 yards on only 11 carries.  Riley Carter also deserves some recognition as  he  rushed for his first  rushing yards of the season.
Quantico's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Fuqua, their  victory (their first of the  season) made their record 1-8.
 Looking ahead, Quantico will host Randolph-Macon Academy  at 1:59  p.m.  on Saturday. As for Fuqua, they will head out to  face off against Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
