Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Blue Ridge

Blue Ridge had won two straight games and Opal Maralit did her part to make it three on Tuesday. The Blue Ridge Fighting Tigers simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Pickens Blue Flame 67-29 thanks in part to Maralit, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds. Maralit is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

Another player making a difference was Kaydin Sullivan, who posted 15 points and seven steals. Those seven steals gave her a new career-high.

Blue Ridge is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points per game. As for Pickens, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-13.
