Basketball Recap: Heide Trask's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Heide Trask waltzed into their match on Tuesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They walked away with a 67-59 victory over the East Columbus Gators. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 60-50 back in January.

Heide Trask's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Gio Driggers, who went 9-for-13 en route to 19 points and eight rebounds. The contest was Driggers' fourth in a row with at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Matthias Sonne, who went 5-for-9 on his way to 17 points.

Several Gators players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jaden Troy, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and ten boards. Jvon Junious was another key player, putting up 12 points and five rebounds.

Heide Trask's win bumped their record up to 13-9. As for East Columbus, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season.

Coincidentally, Heide Trask and East Columbus will both be playing West Columbus the next time they take the court. Heide Trask will host West Columbus at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while East Columbus will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
