Recap: Rocky Hill Country Day Mariners vs. St. Andrew's Saints
After flying high against the Dublin Wildcats last Saturday, the Rocky Hill Country Day Mariners came back down to earth. Rocky Hill Country Day fell 61-50 to St. Andrew on Monday. If Rocky Hill Country Day hoped to take revenge for the 64-37 loss against they when the teams met, then they were left disappointed.
Despite the defeat, Rocky Hill Country Day saw an underclassman step up: Addison Mahar scored ten points along with eight rebounds. Sophie Mahar was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Rocky Hill Country Day's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. As for St. Andrew's, their victory bumped their record up to 1-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rocky Hill Country Day will face off against Academy at Penguin Hall at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. St. Andrew's will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Rocky Hill Country Day at 3:00 p.m. on February 7th.
