The Shadow Ridge Stallions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their ninth straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 42-27 to Valley Vista. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Shadow Ridge in their matchups with Valley Vista: they've now lost three in a row.

Despite the loss, Shadow Ridge still got an impressive performance from Michael Callejas, who rushed for 118 yards while picking up 7.4 yards per carry, and also picked up 63 receiving yards. Callejas was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 63 yards. Jayden Pico was another key contributor, rushing for 19 yards and a touchdown.

Shadow Ridge bumped their record down to 1-9 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 9.4 points per game. As for Valley Vista, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-8.

Shadow Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Valley Vista also has no future games currently scheduled.
