Soccer Recap: Airport Comes Up Short

Airport came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the South Aiken Thoroughbreds, falling 11-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 7-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Edgar Brito wasn't going to let South Aiken walk away unscathed as he scored both of Airport's goals, bringing his season total up to three goals.

Airport now has a losing record of 1-2. As for South Aiken, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Airport will welcome Midland Valley at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for South Aiken, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Gilbert at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
