Volleyball Recap: Bishop Watterson's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Bishop Watterson entered their tilt with Dublin Jerome on Saturday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Celtics.

While Bishop Watterson won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-14, 25-22.

George Smith paced Bishop Watterson's offense, picking up 12 kills. Smith got some help from AJ Harvey and his 31 assists. Ben Gabrich and Nick Powell kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.

Bishop Watterson pushed their record up to 10-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Dublin Jerome, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Coincidentally, Bishop Watterson and Dublin Jerome will both be playing Lincoln the next time they take the court. The Eagles will head out to face the Lions at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, while the Celtics will play them later in the day, at 12:00 p.m.
