Baseball Game Preview: North Babylon Bulldogs vs. Newfield Wolverines

For the second straight game, North Babylon will face off against Newfield. The Bulldogs are taking a road trip to take on the Wolverines at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.

North Babylon took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They came out on top against Newfield by a score of 6-3.

Tim Camier spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up six Ks. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, North Babylon's win was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Camier, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI. James Mieszerski also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

North Babylon was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .407. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Newfield only posted a batting average of .194.

North Babylon now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Newfield, they dropped their record down to 4-6 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.
