Recap: Franklin Panthers vs. Swain County Maroon Devils

Even though the Swain County Maroon Devils scored an imposing 63 points on Wednesday, the Franklin Panthers still came out on top. Franklin took their match against Swain County 71-63. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Franklin.

Max Mcclure continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 26 points along with two steals. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Braylen Dezarn, who scored 16 points along with four steals.

Franklin is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. As for Swain County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Franklin will take on West Henderson at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Franklin focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven on Wednesday. As for Swain County, they will be playing at home against Robbinsville at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Robbinsville is coming into the match with four straight victories on the road, meaning Swain County will have to defend against a team hungry for a victory.
