Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Braxton Walter and Jonathan Marucci Lead Blair County Christian to Victory

Blair County Christian waltzed into their match on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Johnstown Christian Bluejays 47-26. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Bobcats have posted since November 25, 2024.

Leading Blair County Christian to victory were Jonathan Marucci and Braxton Walter. Marucci dropped a double-double on 13 points and 20 rebounds, while Walter went 7 of 15 on his way to 17 points and six boards. With that strong performance, Marucci is now averaging an impressive 9 rebounds per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Aidyn Lundy, who posted five points in addition to 13 rebounds and five assists.

Blair County Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Blair County Christian's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 4-6. As for Johnstown Christian, they dropped their record down to 1-4 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.
