Soccer Recap: Preston Comes Up Short

Preston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 4-2 to the Uniontown Red Raiders. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Preston came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' soccer rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 80th in West Virginia, while Uniontown are ranked 387th in Pennsylvania).

Skylar Wilson and Coen Thomas scored both of Preston's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 16 goals.

Preston's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Uniontown, their win bumped their record up to an identical 2-5.

Preston wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 6-0 defeat against Bridgeport on the 11th. As for Uniontown, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 6-0 loss against Penn-Trafford on the 11th.
