Basketball Recap: Will Kessi Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Mazama

Scappoose was handed a 29-point loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Friday. They had just enough and edged the Mazama Vikings out 60-57. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Indians have posted since January 5th.

Scappoose's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Will Kessi, who posted nine points and three blocks. Another player making a difference was Elijah Greenan Biggs, who earned nine points and five rebounds.

The victory got Scappoose back to even at 1-1. As for Mazama, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.
