Basketball Game Preview: Hayes Pacers vs. Dublin Scioto Irish

The Hayes Pacers will face off against the Dublin Scioto Irish at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hayes is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

Hayes is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Westerville South on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Hayes was beaten by Westerville South 53-21. The contest marked the Pacers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Meanwhile, Dublin Scioto ended up a good deal behind Hilliard Darby on Tuesday and lost 52-33. While losing is never fun, the Irish can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 439th, while the Panthers are ranked 108th).

Defeat or not, Dublin Scioto got some senior leadership from Evan Rinker and Kamarice Jackson. Rinker posted eight points, while Jackson earned nine points.

Hayes now has a losing record at 9-10. As for Dublin Scioto, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season.

Hayes was able to grind out a solid win over Dublin Scioto in their previous matchup back in January, winning 42-35. Will Hayes repeat their success, or does Dublin Scioto have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
