Volleyball Recap: Egyptian Starts off Right with Win over Kelly

Egyptian had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Kelly Hawks, sneaking past 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Pharaohs have posted since September 17, 2024.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (107-106) Egyptian actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-22, 25-21, 18-25, 16-14.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Egyptian will venture away from home to challenge Charleston at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kelly, they are packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will square off against Twin Rivers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
