Preview: Lassiter Trojans vs. Pope Greyhounds        
        
		
            
 The Lassiter Trojans will head out on the road to  square off against  the Pope Greyhounds at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one:  the two teams posted some lofty  point totals in their previous games.
 Lassiter entered their tilt with Blessed Trinity with two consecutive wins  but they'll enter their next game with three. Lassiter came out on top against Blessed Trinity by a score of  55-46  on Friday. Given Lassiter's advantage  in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings  (they are ranked 128th, while Blessed Trinity is ranked 276th), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
 Lassiter found their leader in underclassman  Claire Mackenny, who  dropped  a double-double on 16 points and 11  rebounds.  Kenzie Wyman was another key contributor,  dropping  a double-double on 11 points and 11  rebounds.
 Meanwhile, Pope put the finishing touches on their 11th blowout victory of the season  on Tuesday. They breezed by Johns Creek on the road  to the tune of  69-32. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest  win Pope has posted  since December 12, 2023.
 Lassiter has  been performing  well recently as they've  won ten of their last 13 matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. As for Pope, the  win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 16-6.
 Lassiter beat Pope 47-39  in their previous matchup  back in December of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lassiter since the  team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
