Preview: Dixon Bulldogs vs. Clinton Dark Horses
The Dixon Bulldogs's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Clinton Dark Horses at 7:00 p.m. on December 22nd. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Winning is just a little bit easier when you work as a team to rack up eight more assists than your opponent, a fact Dixon proved on Monday. They enjoyed a cozy 72-54 victory over Neuse Charter. The victory was just what Dixon needed coming off of a 78-35 defeat in their prior game.
Dixon's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brayden Anderson-Sidbury, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. Those 18 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Cooper Tozier, who scored 15 points along with eight assists and six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Clinton narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Lakewood 52-49.
Clinton got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Gregory Coxum out in front who scored 16 points along with six rebounds. Nydarion Blackwell was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Dixon now has a winning record of 5-4. Clinton's record now sits at 1-0.
