Carson extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 11 on Thursday, dropping them down to 0-3. They lost 11-0 to the Reed Raiders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-1 on Tuesday.

Carson saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lainey Miller, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

As for Reed, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.7 runs over those games.

On Reed's side, Hayley Noble was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Noble was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double. That double was her first of the season.

In other batting news, Breanna Staats and Jaelee Hammes did most of the damage at the plate: Staats got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and one RBI, while Hammes went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most RBI Hammes has posted since back in March of 2025. Elana Torres was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Carson will head out to take on North Valleys at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Reed, they will venture away from home to challenge Galena at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Grizzlies have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.5 runs per game on average), something the Raiders will no doubt try to take advantage of.
